Priority How Water with Intergas, X Plan and OpenTherm

Post by chrisru »

I've also sent this as an email to evohomeshop.
I've got an Intergas Xclusive 30 being installed with Evohome using the OpenTherm Bridge, the circuits are set up with two zone valves in X Plan. The Megaflow cyclinder stat has been replaced by the Honeywell Insertion Stat connected to a CS92, and there is a BDR91 connected to the NC and NO valves to switch to heating the cylinder when instructed by the Honeywell Controller. What do I need to do to get Priority Domestic Hot Water as I understand that the OpenTherm controller doesn't allow the boiler to run a full speed and so recharge the cylinder as quickly as is possible. Should there be a wire from the Zone Valve to the boiler (Pin 3 on X4) to switch the boiler to PDHW?
Thanks Chris

Chris did you get to the bottom of this? My newly installed OpenTherm ramps the flow temp to max when my DHW needs to reheat. I am still using S-Plan, but there are no connections from the valves back to the boiler.

This setup is quite specialist, so unless you are paying people for their time, I doubt the answers for this will be easily forthcoming.
